Our job training programs are designed to be inclusive and holistic; we offer tuition-free programming, case management, and other comprehensive student services.

Program Pathways

Certified Behavioral Addiction Technician

Credential: State of Colorado Licensed Certified Addiction Technician
Schedule: In-person, virtual, semi-annual, June and December

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • According to the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, applicants must complete a high school diploma or GED; meet specific educational requirements (including at least 21 hours of addiction counseling skills and 21 hours of principles of addiction treatment); and complete a required number of supervised work hours.

  • Pass a criminal background check (view full list of disqualifying offenses)

  • Pass national examination to obtain certification

Peer Support Specialist

Credential: Colorado Peer and Family Specialist (CPFS) — administered by the Colorado Providers Association (COPA) through the IC&RC

Schedule: In-person and virtual; 
Schedule: In-person, virtual, semi-annual, June and December

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Lived experience with a mental health condition, substance use disorder, and/or as a family member/caregiver of someone with behavioral health needs

  • Must live or work in Colorado at least 51% of the time

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Complete 60 hours of COPA-approved training (minimum 30 hours must be live/interactive)

  • 500 hours of paid or volunteer work experience in IC&RC domains over a minimum of 6 months

  • 25 hours of documented supervision specific to IC&RC domains

  • Submit a Statement of Lived Experience (250 words or less)

  • Pass the IC&RC Peer Exam to obtain certification

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Credential: Certified Nursing Assistant (State Board of Nursing approved; Colorado OBRA Certification requirements)
Schedule: This program is in-person; clinical hours may vary.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Pass a criminal background check (view full list of disqualifying offenses)

  • Provide current BLS card

  • Pass drug test

  • Provide proof of vaccinations including MMR, Hepatitis B, TDap, TB, Varicella, Influenza, and COVID-19

  • Have English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)

  • Have understanding of basic algebra

Construction & Infrastructure

Construction builds more than structures—it paves futures. The construction industry offers stable, well-paying careers that do not require a four-year degree, providing clear pathways to economic mobility, skill mastery, and long-term security. Through hands-on training, career advancement, and union and non-union opportunities, construction empowers individuals to earn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Electrical Apprenticeship

Credential: Department of Labor Apprentice Card 4-Year Program
Schedule: Once-weekly class for fall and spring semesters: 5:00–9:30 PM, August–May

Requirements:

  • Pre-apprentice certificate or verifiable electrical experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED (recommended)

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Physical capability to perform the work of the trade

  • Proficient in math to pass required entrance exam with a minimum 70% or higher score (tutoring available)

Pre-Apprentice — PACT Core (160 hours): 5 Weeks

Credential: Department of Labor Pre-Apprentice Program Certificate
Schedule: In-person, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Requires 8 hours of volunteer time helping community members

Renewable Energy

With multiple entry points that do not always require a four-year degree, renewable energy careers are inclusive, allowing people to learn, earn, and advance—while bringing investment and resilience to historically underserved communities.

HVAC Registered Apprenticeship (Xcel Energy Program): 4 Years

Credential: Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship; NATE CHP-5; Associate Degree in HVAC (optional)
Schedule: Once-weekly classes (evenings), August–May

Requirements:

  • Completion of NXT LVL HVAC Pre-Apprentice or equivalent experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Legal right to work in the United States

  • Reliable transportation

  • Physical capability to perform the work of the trade

  • Proficient in math to pass aptitude and entrance assessment (tutoring available)

  • Commitment to a 4-year apprenticeship

Program Highlights:

  • Earn while you learn with a paid apprenticeship

  • Xcel Energy covers the cost of apprenticeship education for the first year ($3,000 per semester)

  • Hands-on training with leading HVAC employers

  • Industry-recognized credentials and licenses

  • Career support, mentorship, and case management

  • Pathway to long-term, high-demand careers

NXT LVL HVAC Pre-Apprentice (Heat Pump Technician): 5 Weeks

Credential: EPA 608 Certification, DOE Energy Skilled Heat Pump Credential, OSHA 30
Schedule: In-person, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • High school diploma or GED (recommended)

  • Interest in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and renewable energy

  • Commitment to hands-on learning and safety

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions

Program Highlights:

  • Hands-on training with heat pump systems

  • Learn installation, service, diagnostics, and energy efficiency

  • Earn industry-recognized credentials

  • Career exploration and employer connections

  • Pathway into the HVAC Registered Apprenticeship
